Course overview
  • Introduction to programming through the Python language.
  • Data types, variables, assignments, control structures, functions, classes, modules and Input/Output.
  • Data structures: arrays, strings, lists, tuples and dictionaries.
  • Design and development of programs through procedural programming and object-oriented programming.
  • Recursive and iterative algorithms.
  • Python libraries for graphics, file handling, text/html processing and internet access.
  • Program debugging and testing.

Programming class schedule


  • Tuesday 11:00-13:00 (Europe/Rome time)
  • Friday 16:00-19:00 (Europe/Rome time)
  • From October the 6th till October the 23rd: Room Blu3, building CU028, main campus, Piazzale Aldo Moro, 00185 Rome (find it on the campus map)
  • From October the 27th on: Room Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli, building RM014, via A. Scarpa 16, Rome (see map)
