The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute was established in 1997 and is a part of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Southern Denmark. The Maersk Institute has become a highly technological, internationally recognized centre of excellence, where academia and industry in close collaboration develop new technologies for intelligent autonomous systems. The Institute's collaboration activities with industry are partly attended to by the robotics network RoboCluster (www.robocluster.dk) which has managed to highlight the opportunities of Danish enterprises in the global market for robotics and automation. Candidates for the tenured positions should have (1) a documented research reputation in computer vision (2) well documented experience in teaching in this field (3) a well established research network We are in particular looking for researchers who are bridging between computer vision and robotics and who are interested in cooperating with industry in the area of vision based industrial robotics. In case applicants for the positions as associate professor are not considered qualified, it is possible to convert the position into an assistant professorship. Therefore, we strongly recommend candidates being interested in an assistant professorship to send us an application. These applicants must have obtained a PhD degree within the last 5 years.
